Earthquake Insurance (Dask) compulsory in Turkey When purchasing a property in Turkey it is compulsory for owners to obtain a Dask Sigorta (Earthquake insurance. the cost is approximately 1.2 YTL (60pence) per Square metre of build. not much for peace of mind. This can be obtained by any insurance company in Turkey, including banks, Below is an example of the Dask certificate. (Click the image below for a larger view)
